The beginning is..
Errily wonderful. Horrifically orgasmic. As stated the kick drum is very dim, and I recognize the snare sound from AD. The clean guitar sound has a dimebag tone, the twangy unbassy sound. I love it. The Equing is quite good as well. So far I'm not hearing any distorted guitars. Waiting... nice cymbal change up.... the drums are technical.. and there is the distorted guitar, if only for a second. Couldn't tell but it sounds as though it went out of tune or something in the middle, I thought I heard shimmering, ah well sounded great. This gets kind of repetitive after a while, maybe osme vocals or ethinc drums, and there is more distorted guitar.. kind of Dethklok-ish. I like it. Complicated guitar work, and complicated drum work, I like it. This is some good stuff, man. Maybe lose the crash cymbal a little bit, lower the volume or don't use it as much. And that is that. I really liked this piece. Good job, and have a good day. :)
The EQing is pretty good up until the end of the song, hahaha. I'm still learning, though. I didn't go out of tune or anything on the recording, so maybe it's just a dissonant chord you're hearing. When I'm not lazy I might actually record the vocals myself, but that won't be anytime soon. I guess that's when I'll fix the drums, haha.
Thanks for the listen and constructive criticism!
Egh.
It's okay. This is all my opinion, a million others may think it's perfect, but I have some constructive criticism.
1, the guitar. Maybe you can't get better equipment, maybe you just can't eq right, idk. But it seems kinda trebley. To much so.. try lowering the treble and upping the lowerend. the playing itself and the riffs are amazing though, good work. harmony is a plus.
2, the drums. to thin. nuff said.
Great piece! :)
Oy! someone on NG who knows about mixing! I know it's a cop-out excuse but this song was recorded awhile ago, and I completely agree with everything you said. Strangely enough, I have since developed a more even guitar tone and substituted DFH drums for the crappy midi-esque ones I have now. So all in all you basically described what I learned from recording so far. Haha well I'm glad you appreciated the playing itself and I'm grateful to get some legit criticism every once in awhile. :)
Awesome.
Again, the guitar and drums I don't like for some reason. Lol idk.
5 though because that is a badass bend your doing on the first riff. And your tone allows for no distortion and clear notes. :D
It's good.
But 2 things. One, I can't say I approve of the guitar tone. It isn't chuggy and edgy enough for me. note, i said FOR ME. I am not the majority by any means, lol.
Two, the drums.. don't like em. Idk why, I just don't like em. Maybe it's the snare. Or the cymbal. one of those two just makes me despise this drumset. Idk.
Really good track though. 5
yeah the cymbals piss me off
This is amazing.
I loved it. it had a Korn feeling to it in the beginning because of the spine tingling riffs. Wonderful. MY neck is screaming for mercy.
whoa never got the korn connection. i can see that i guess thanks for the support
Sweet.
Love the melody. Not the drums though. Lol are you using Line 6 by any chance?
Yeah the drums are kinda crappy, fruity loops powaaa XD
Not for recording, I'm using a Zoom G2.1u. :)
Thanks for the review man
I love it.
It's fucking brutal. My neck is begging for mercy.
But the drums.. the snare drum I do not like. Other than that It's awesome. maybe the guitars could be fuller they sound kind of thin.
5/5 10/10
Done. I remastered it. CHECK IT OUT!
lol
i love it but i think your using that psycho vst for your voice aren't you
It's good, but..
The drums.. i do not like them! lol the melodies could be somewhat better to between the guitars. But then it's only 36 seconds long lol good stuff! check my song called a Metal Short its cannibal corpse esque.
